Day 31 My last hurrah
Decided on a new route, one I hadn't walked for around 10 years in the oldest part of my suburb. Big D and I used to participate in a 10kg community walk on Saturday morning. Still a lovely area. Got rained on so not as long as I had planned, but still respectable.Day 30 - OK just
Day 29 - Slow Day
Staggered outDay 28 - beautiful day
So went little more than I intended.Day 27 - we the unwilling
Just don't feel like it todayDay 26 - it is so hot
Day 23 Walking wherever I go
It gets to be a habit not leaping into the car.Day 20 - Good effort but below speed
Had to convert to shopping centre walk because of miss-timed laxettes!!Day 19 - Low Energy day
Staggered out but didn't do much. Day was dominated by the Lung specialist and his news.Day 16 - Not my best day
but I stuck it out for a decent distanceDay 15 - Pushing to my limit
Walking after 2 hours 40 mins heavy gardening ain't no funDay 14 Distance OK, speed slower
It helps not to give yourself a dose of food poisoning, do I fad to stay closer to home.Day 13 - Indoors again
The rain is sheeting down.Day 12 - Another indoors walk
Some much more energetic outdoors, but today is much too hot. Taking longer for goal distance.Day 11 was really hard
But I hung in there - barely.Day 10 - 1/3 the way and still trucking
Have you noticed I'm going faster. Yeah.Day 8 - I go to the Home Show
And walk for a very long timeDay 9 - Ah that's better
Combo activity - walk and dance indoors because it's raining.Day 6 - Shopping Centre walks are boring
Day 5 over the top
Gawd. I think I might have buggered myself in this morning's walk. I was not only late and after a hard Pilates class, but chose a new route that was much more uphill.Day 4 musings
Well my first day out with the steps counted and it seems like the track has got much longer since they last officially measured it.I'm walking for the 122,000 Australians experiencing homelessness
Right now, there are 122,000 Australians experiencing homelessness. That's 1 in 210 people.
This March, I will be taking part in Walk the Walk and going the distance for the 122,000 people doing it tough in our community.
I'm walking to raise funds for Orange Sky's vital work providing connection through clean laundry, warm showers, and genuine conversation.
Please support my walk to positively connect communities and support people who need it the most.
Together, we can show Aussies experiencing homelessness they're not alone.
